Maudie Marie Shelton, 84, of Independence, Kentucky passed away on August 29, 2017 at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, Kentucky. She was born on August 23, 1933. Her parents, Sylvester and Leeanna Lawson, preceded her in death.
Maudie is survived by her children Karen (Kenny) Blackwell, Kathy (Rick) Wondrely and David (Janie) Shelton; grandchildren Aubrey Blackwell, Amberly Fox, Kurtis Wondrely, Jared Wondrely, Rhonda Firkey and Rachel Schaub; great grandchildren Liam Wondrely, Ronan Wondrely, Adam FIrkey and Allison Firkey; sisters Shirley Smith, Wanda Jones and Margie Hawkins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by the father of her children Alfred Shelton; daughter Terry Schaub; son Allen Shelton; brother Charles Miller; sister Sylvia Centers; and her special friend Charles Guy.
