Maureen Sullivan

March 21, 1936 — December 21, 2016

Maureen Ann Sullivan (nee Tegge), 80, of Edgewood, passed away on December 21, 2016, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. She was born to the late W. Cyril (Cy) and Marie Tegge. Maureen married Joseph Michael Sullivan, Sr in 1959. Their marriage was blessed with children Jeannine (Robert) Bowling, Mike (Carolyn) Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, and Kathleen King; grandchildren Jack Bowling, Megan Bowling, Kaitlyn King and Joseph (Joey) Sullivan. Maureen is survived by a brother, Denny (Suzanne) Tegge. She was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maureen lived a very full life helping others all along the way. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Maureen graduated from Holy Cross High School and was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. She was a secretary before becoming a homemaker and raising a family. Maureen and her husband owned an ice cream shop in Latonia, KY. Their shop, Whip Dip & Eat, served many families. Maureen followed politics very closely and was an election poll worker for many years. She enjoyed the Cincinnati Ballet and loved watching her granddaughter Kaitlyn perform. Maureen also enjoyed gardening and watching the Hallmark channel. Maureen taught CCD classes at St. Barbara and was a volunteer teacher's aide. She spent most of her life supporting many charities. Maureen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm at St. Henry Church in Erlanger.
Burial immediately following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions suggested to United Christian Volunteers, 15 Kenton St., Elsmere, KY 41018 or the charity of choice.
