Melva Russell,
95 of Alexandria, Kentucky formerly of Athens, Ohio. She retired from Ohio University as head of Housekeeping and was a member of the Greendale First Church of Christ. Melva was the daughter of Rev. Fred and Grace Fields who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Howard and Joe Fields and sister Mamie Fields. Melva is survived by her husband of 72 years, Charles Russell, Sr. She is also survived by Charles (Paulette) Russell, Jr., Pastor of New Hope Christian Center in Newport, KY and Mark Timothy (Amy) Russell, Pastor of Greendale First Church of Christ in Greendale, IN; grandchildren Aric, Shelly, Mike, Kyle and Megan; 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 11:30am until time of Funeral Service at 1pm. Entombment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
