Millard Martin

Millard Martin, Jr. of Edgewood, KY passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Florence Park Nursing Home at the glorious age of 98. 

He was born in Newport, KY on May 18, 1926, the son of the late Millard Sr. and Lillian Martin. Millard was the owner and operator of his own television repair business and was a longtime member of Florence Baptist Church. In his spare time, Millard enjoyed being in the water swimming or boating. Whenever you saw him, he always had a cold glass of iced tea. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially every Sunday when all would gather to enjoy one another’s company. 

Preceding Millard in death was his loving and devoted wife, Virginia Sue Martin. 

Those left surviving to carry on Millard’s legacy include his three cherished children, Mike (Kathy) Martin, Gary (Kay) Martin and Maureen (Terry) Landrum; sister Pat (Bob) Morris; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as many other close relatives and friends who are now emptier upon his passing. 

A visitation celebrating Millard’s life will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Millard’s grandson, Josh Landrum, will officiate the service. Millard will then be reunited and laid to rest next to his wife at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
