Nelda Mae Klaserner, 70, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born September 7, 1952 in Covington, Kentucky to parents William E. Williams Jr. and Rhoda Mae Williams who preceded her in death along with her two brothers-in-law, Gene Wells and Robin Funk.
Nelda graduated from Boone County High School in 1970. Later that year, on December 5th she married the love of her life, John T. Klaserner. Together they had one daughter, Tanya. Nelda was a dedicated military wife who traveled all around the world with John, never complaining about the travel or time spent away. While living in Spain, Nelda began her career with the Navy Exchange where she started on the sales floor and went on to work her way up to IT Supervisor; she worked with the company for 30 years as a dedicated employee who was loved by all who worked around her.
Nelda loved art and was an artist herself who enjoyed drawing, painting, and scrapbooking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Nelda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of nearly 53 years, John Klaserner; daughter Tanya Farrell and her husband Benjamin; grandsons Charles and Henry Farrell; her siblings Martha Wells, Billy Williams and wife Connie, Deborah Funk, Connie Woods and husband Bryan, Margaret Watkins and husband Pete, Rhoda Williams and husband Greg Wenz, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Her celebration of life will be held in on Saturday, Sept. 9th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Florence Methodist Church, 8585 Old Toll Road in Florence.
