Opal Bolton

Opal Melinda Bolton, 90, of Covington, died Monday, May 2, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.  She was born in 1931, in Williamsburg, Kentucky and in 1951 she married Raymond Bolton.  She then went to work at Kenner’s Toy Company for 29 years and 3 years at Safeguard, and retired in 1991.  At that time she started babysitting until 2014.  She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her Mom and Dad and five brothers, daughter in law Cheryl, son in law Nick Auchter, and one great-granddaughter, Makayla Cooper.  She leaves behind four sons, Dennis, Larry (Theresa), Leroy (Rosie) and James Bolton; 2 daughters, Linda (John) West; Darlene Auchter; ten grandchildren and one step great-granddaughter.  She has twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter with two more expected this year; two sisters, Delores Thacker and Clara Cox; and one brother, Everett Rains.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Hunt officiating, with burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 10-12PM.
