Orena Mae Winn

Orena Mae Winn was born to Ivery Lee Whatley and Sadie Bernice Whatley on January 5, 1954, in Covington, Ky. Orena graduated from Holmes High School and later graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has touched the lives of countless students and parents over multiple generations for 30-plus years with Northern Kentucky Community Action. She retired there in 2018. Orena was a loving daughter, sister, mother and friend. She leaves behind her mother Mrs. Sadie Whatley, and her brothers Michael and Leslie Whatley. Her children Derrick, LeShawn, Eddie Jr., Tara and Tanya. Her grandchildren Keyontae, Keyarra, Damarcus, Mariana, Jaynessa, Deasia and Destinee. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her dad Ivery Whatley, her brother Todd E. Whatley, her sister Vyola M. Whatley and her late husband Eddie Winn Sr. Orena’s contagious laughter, compassionate heart and warm spirit will be missed.
