FORT THOMAS - For 25 years, Patricia Woods Lyons served up Big Boys at the Frisch's on Landmark Drive in Bellevue.
The Dayton native loved working at the restaurant.
"She loved people," said her husband, Stuart Lyons.
"All the customers liked her."
Patricia Lyons worked as long as she could until her arthritis made it impossible about four years ago, her husband said.
Then began multiple health problems including cancer, kidney disease and a staph infection, her husband said.
Mrs. Lyons died Thursday at her home. She was 62.
Mrs. Lyons raised nine children while working at the restaurant. She had seven children with her first husband and two with Lyons.
"I would work days, she would work nights," he said.
"We managed it."
The couple was married 27 years, but often told friends it was 36, because they had been together that long.
"She was a good woman," he said.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lyons is survived by her mother, Tommy Woods of Fort Thomas; sons Scott Doyen of Fort Thomas, Kevin Doyen of Miami, Paul Doyen of Morning View, Earl Doyen of Dayton and Roger Lyons of Independence; daughters Tracy Doyen of Fort Thomas, Kelly Schultz of Independence and Raquel Lyons of Colerain; brothers Edgar "Buck" Woods Jr. of Alexandria and Ronald Woods of Dayton; sisters Sally Volter of Dayton, Pearl Burger of Fort Mitchell, Florence Reekers of Florida and Linda Woods of Newport; and 20 grandchildren.
Her son, Richard "Butch" Doyen, died previously.
