Patricia Sparks

Patricia Sparks of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, cared for so many throughout her life during her time as a nurse, volunteer EMT, and amazing travel agent, but her dedication and unyielding love for her family and friends is the legacy she leaves behind. Pat passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in a room filled with love on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the age of 77.

Pat was the loving wife of George S. Sparks, mother of Kim Seibert (Tom) Wehby and Jennifer Seibert (Ted) Ossege, and stepmother of George S. (Sherry) Sparks, Jr., Jodi Watts, Scott (Lynsey) Sparks, and Carrie (Rob) Depue. She leaves behind 18 grandchildren who were among the greatest joys of her life (Jordan, Kyle, Vic, George, Megan, Lane, Hayley, Madison, Olivia, Quinton, Ruby, Evan, Bobby, Hudson, Connor, Charlie, Paige, Timmy), 5 great-grandchildren, and a handful of cousins, nieces, and nephews – all of whom she loved fiercely.

She was born on October 12, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Floyd and Prudie Morris, who preceded her in death, and the sister of Rick Morris. Pat was raised in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and was a proud alumna of Highlands High School.

She found her soulmate in George, her husband of 35 years. She supported their six children in any way needed and spoiled their grandkids any chance she got. She will be missed tremendously.

In addition to her love for her family, Pat had a great passion for travel. She visited all but 3 of our 50 states and a great many countries. Among her escapades, she has kissed the Blarney Stone, been to the top of the Eiffel Tower, enjoyed the beaches of Hawaii, and cruised across the icy fjords of Alaska.

Our sincere hope is that whatever lies beyond is filled with all the things Pat loved – stunning sunsets, lush gardens, purple flowers, the feel of sand beneath her feet, the sweet taste of treats fresh from the oven, the sound of children’s laughter, and the next adventure on the horizon.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Southgate Community Center (301 W. Walnut Street, Southgate, KY) from 6:00 pm–10:00 pm for all who wish to attend. Please join us for a drink, a bite to eat, and some shared memories. Bring a photo to share if you’d like to.
