Retta Mae Searp

Retta Mae Polley Searp, 63, of Hebron, KY, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at her home. She grew up in Bracken County, KY, and was a 1977 graduate of Bracken County High School. She was an employee of Gates Corporation in Hebron. Her husband, Kenny Searp, died December 2, 2008.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Anne Belle Jones Polley.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Crabtree of Hebron; grandsons, Ethan Crabtree and Maxwell Crabtree, both of Hebron; a granddaughter, Emma Crabtree of Hebron; a brother, Terry F. (Virginia) Polley of Timonium, MD; sisters, Linda J. Smith of Cincinnati, Darlene (David) Thomas of Crittenden, and Marlene (Scott) Gresser of Broomfield, CO; a sister-in-law, Connie Polley of Fort Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Gerald Polley, William Lynn Polley, Tommie Lee Polley and Marty Guy Polley, and sisters, Mary Lou Filoso and Betty Ann Moreaux.

 A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, KY. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorials Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
