Richard Anthony O'Rourke

Richard Anthony O’Rourke, 84, of Erlanger, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.  He was born November 12, 1939, in Covington, the son of the late Charles E. O’Rourke and Anna M. Armstrong O’Rourke.  He attended Covington Latin School, and was a retired IT Specialist. He was married to Ruth (Honey) O’Rourke, who preceded him in death in 2002.  Surviving are his children, Rick A. O’Rourke Jr.; R.Colleen Bailey; Kelli K. Gilbert; and M. Dan O’Rourke; and grandchildren: Ricky, Samantha, Gunner, Jared, Tristen, Tyler, Patrick, Caidan, Zach, Hannah, Taylor, Haley, Allison, Shelby, Hunter, and 24 great-grandchildren. His four sisters preceded him in death: Jewel, Loretta, Annie, and Judy.  Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, KY 41015, with Pastor Lawrence Longworth officiating.  Visitation will be from 11-1 PM.  Burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens 1 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Rich's name to The Alzheimer’s Association or The Covington Latin School. A reception will be held at Florence Nature Center, 7200 Nature Park Dr, Florence, KY 41042 from 5-11pm.
