Rita Huhn

Rita Arlene Huhn (nee Robinson) of Southgate, KY, 73, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 18th, 2020, in her home with her husband by her side.  Rita was beloved by her family, and is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Huhn; daughter Robinette (Charlie) Hampton; son David (Betty) Huhn; 3 grandsons Brandon Huhn, Jeremy Huhn, and Chaz Hampton; brother Ron (Jackie) Robinson of Australia; sister Yvonne Williams of Florence, KY; brother Greg (Shari) Robinson of Australia; and 7 nephews and a niece.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Quentin and Cuba Robinson and her son, Peter Andrew Huhn.

Rita dearly loved her family.  The greatest gift to her children was the unconditional love she always showed to their father.  Everyday, Rita showed her love to John by honoring, respecting and supporting him.  They were not only husband and wife, but they were also each other’s best friend.  We all have been blessed by their love for each other.

Rita lived her life by placing her trust in God and together, she and John faithfully followed His will.  In return, God always provided a way along life’s journeys.  To that end, Rita had a thankful and generous spirit, always appreciating the many blessings in their life, possessing true happiness without want or need.

Rita had a warm personality and genuinely took an interest in everyone she met, while always showing them kindness.  She had a knack for making others feel comfortable in her presence.  She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed and always had a positive attitude when facing the difficulties that invariably come in life.

Above all, Rita’s life was a shining example of how to live with a God-driven purpose, unconditional love to her husband, and devotion to her family.

Rita was laid to rest on Thursday, October 22nd at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.  Brother John Russell, formerly of Lakeside Christian Church, was the officiant for the private service.
