Robert L. Ashley

Robert L. Ashley, affectionately known as "Bob," passed away on September 3, 2024, in Elsmere, Kentucky. Born on May 5, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bob lived a life dedicated to hard work and family, making a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Bob proudly enjoyed a long career as a forklift operator before retiring to spend more time with his loved. His dedication to both his work and family was a testament to his character and values.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Sherry Ashley and Kristina Ashley, his son, Robert B. Ashley; grandson Joshua Ashley, who was the apple of his eye, and Samuel Blazer and Eryn Blazer. Together, they carry forward the cherished memories and teachings he imparted throughout his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Thompson, and his mother, Virginia Steffan Thompson. Their love and guidance shaped him into the man he became, and he will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.

A graveside service to honor Bob's life will be held on September 9, 2024, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington, Kentucky. The service will begin at 2:00 PM.

Bob Ashley will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
