Robert Lewis Day

Robert L. Day, of Cold Spring, KY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center at the glorious age of 81. He was born in Bullitsville, KY on July 29, 1942, the son of the late Herbert and Eulelia Day. Robert was a long-time employee for both AT&T and Cap Gemini and was a member of South Fork Christian Church in Verona, KY. He also was a veteran and served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing and building things, especially at his church. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family, whom he cherished deeply. Preceding Robert in death were his parents; his nephew, Ricky Day and his sister-in-law, Louise Day. Those left surviving to carry on Robert’s memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie Day; children, Norma (fiancé Doug) Smith, Anthony Day, Michael (April) Day and Jessica (Chuck) Day; brother, Richard Day; grandchildren, Stephanie Miles, Autumn Miles, Joey Day, Jared (Alexa) Day, Jordan (Carley) Day, Joel (Ashley) Day, Justin Day, Blake Ryan and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lexi, Kaden, Keegan, Tydus, Ronan, Christine and Frederick; nephew, Glen (Tami) Day; as well as many other close relatives and friends. A visitation celebrating Robert’s life will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Highchew from South Fork Christian Church will officiate the service.
