November 16, 1928 — August 16, 2010

MORNING VIEW - Robert Allen Freeman, 81, died Aug. 16 at his home.
He was a truck driver for Allied Van Lines for 39 years, an Army veteran, member of Oak Island Baptist Church and American Legion Post 203.

Three daughters and two sons died previously.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Workman Freeman; son, Charles Freeman of Dayton; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, with service at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
