Robert Marksberry

Robert G. Marksberry,
85 of Hebron, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Gayle Robert and Marie Marksberry in Gratz, Kentucky. In 1958 he married his best friend Ruth Hopkins Marksberry, who survives him. Robert retired after 40 plus years from CG&E where he was lovingly known as "Fat Bob". He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ of Bromley, Kentucky, the Ludlow Vets and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert is also survived by his children Jeff (Deborah) Marksberry and Steve (Kathy Pogue) Marksberry; grandchildren Andrew, Casey, Leila and Jennifer; 5 great grandchildren; nieces Gayla and Charla. Robert's sister Mae Magee also preceded him in death. A Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 11 am until time of Funeral Service at 1 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ of Bromley, Kentucky.
