Robert Portwood,
66 of Independence, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home. He is retired from Reis Concrete and was a member of the Taylor Mill Moose Lodge #1469. Robert is a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Crystal Michelle Nix and his brother David Portwood. Robert is survived by his children Nikki Portwood of Independence, KY, B.J. Portwood and Dana Napier of Falicity, OH; grandchildren Amanda, Peyton, Daniel, Coty and Summer; sisters Mildred Elliott, Janet Hyde, Linda Greenlee, Lena Portwood and Carol Casterline; brothers Raymond, Paul, William, Joe, Jerry and Mike Portwood; several foster grandchildren and extended family members. A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 from 12pm until time of Memorial Service at 1pm.
