81 of Erlanger, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020. He retired from Otto Zimmerman Printing in Newport, where he worked for over 48 years. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid UK Fan. His favorite hobby was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Carolyn Schmerge; children Lela (Ronald) Bertsche, Malinda (Michael) Augur and Robert (Donna) Schmerge Jr.; grandchildren Chris, Ronnie, Melissa, Brein, Korbin, Josh, Mandi, Justin, Stacie and Morgan; great grandchildren Jacob, Brinkley, Tyler, Nathan, Brayden, Heather, Courtney, Landen, Wesley and Reid. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John of the Evangelist Anglican Catholic Church, 619 O Fallon Avenue, Dayton, KY 41074 on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11am.
