Rose Delores (Ross) Flowers

   Rose Flowers of Florence, Kentucky passed from this earth to Heaven on August 14, 2023.  She was born in Newport, KY on August 9, 1938 to Rosie Florence (Fornash) Ross and Floyd Washington Ross who preceded her in death.

   Rose was united in marriage to George Raymond Flowers on July 21, 1956 in Newport, KY.  After 54 years of marriage, George departed this life on March 9, 2012.

   Rose was a loving mother (and mother-in-law) to Daniel (Conte) Flowers of Verona KY, Randy (Debbie) Flowers of Union, KY, George Flowers of Florence, KY, Susanne Flowers of Crittenden, KY, Joseph Flowers of Florence, KY, and John (Tina) Flowers of Florence, KY.

   Rose was loved and admired by 8 grandchildren Joshua Flowers (Colette), Heather Lutkenhoff (Christopher), Christopher Flowers (Hope), Matthew Roland, Summer Flowers Kenner (Charles), Jesse (Sydney) Roland, Chey-Anne York (Eddie), and Jaret Flowers.  She also leaves 9 great-grandchildren who will mourn her passing.

   Rose and George accepted Christ as their Savior at Crescent Springs Baptist Church in 2004.  They served God and their church faithfully until their deaths. Rose loved her church where she taught Sunday School, Children’s Church, and in the AWANA program.

   Along with her church and family activities, Rose loved working in her flowers, listening to country music, and watching British TV shows.  Any shade of green was her absolute favorite color!

   Rose was a hard worker at home and in the workplace.  Most of her working years, she worked at Johnson Controls where she made many friends.

   Rose was a loving wife and mother who cherished her time with family. Her smile, laughter, and enthusiasm were contagious as she enjoyed life with a joyful spirit. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

   The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Beaver Lick Baptist Church located at 11460 US-42 in Union, KY. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m.  Rose will be buried at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill Rd., Covington, KY on Monday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m.
