Rose Wood

Rose Marie Wood, 61, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Christ Hospital. Rose was born on January 9, 1961, in Covington, Kentucky. She was a good-hearted woman who never knew a stranger and found joy in her career as a nursing assistant. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking with her grandkids, gardening and listening to rock n’ roll music. She is survived by her son, Joshua (Danielle Schneider) Ivey, her mother, Rose Bain and grandchildren Bentley Ivey, Joshua Ivey and Brianna Ivey. As well as her sisters, Fanny Rebecca Powers and Mary Martin and her dear friend, Darleena Hughes. Nephews, Freddy Martin, Thomas Gentry, Christopher Gentry and his family and her sweet dog, Buddy. As well as many other beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Rose Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Wood and her special companion, Rocket the cat. A visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, at Floral Hills Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12 p.m. with burial to follow.
