Rosemary Florence

Rosemary Florence, 75, of Independence, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Reidy, sister Pearl Kennedy, and her son Billy Landers.  She was born September 17, 1947 in Cynthiana, KY and graduated from Dixie Heights in Edgewood, KY. She was a daughter of the late James Mattox and Rosemond Richie. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Landers, son Jerry Florence, granddaughter Tiffany Akers, grandson Jesse Akers, great-granddaughter Jersey Akers, brothers Michael Mattox, Gary Mattox, Glen Richie, Dale Richie, sisters Debbie Fancote Borgemenke and Wilma Robertson and several nieces and nephews. She worked for Chatterbox Lounge as a bartender and Car Barn Garage as an office manager / dispatcher for 17 years. Rosemary was loved by many, loved her little dog Wookie, her Euchre parties, her therapy class group, and was a social butterfly and loved being around people. There will be a memorial service Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Donations are appreciated.
