Russell William Curee Jr. “Off Road”, sadly passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Bill was a beloved figure known for his gentle nature and was affectionately called Pawpaw Santa by his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on April 19, 1951, in Anderson, Ohio, Bill led a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, and memorable experiences. His dedication extended beyond his career as a mechanic for Brehob to serving in the Army for 11 years during the Vietnam Era. Bill's passions included riding motorcycles with his son Jason, wife and friends. And watching drag racing with his son Bill. He found joy in these hobbies and created lasting memories with those he cared about. Among his proudest accomplishments was being a member of the American Legion and serving as a state representative for B.A.C.A. and he was also the founder of “Warriors for the Children”. His biggest passion was spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. In addition to his impressive achievements, Bill was cherished by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Angela Venewski, stepmother Jean Curee, sons; Bill Curee (Kasey) and Jason Curee (Susan) , stepsons; Ted Hunt (Ashley) and Matthew Hunt (Lorraine), stepdaughter Amber Dick, sister Amy Bassett (Edward), brothers; Mike Curee (Aileen) and Dave Curee (Mary Lou), as well as numerous grandchildren including Noah, Evan, Alec, Paige, Axel, Emilee, James, Kadence, Zoey, Arizona, Gianna, Lily, Brody. Russell William Curee Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Waneda Curee and sister Cindy Curee. To honor Bill's life and legacy a visitation will take place on Thursday, July 25 ,2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Chapel A located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road in Taylor Mill, KY. The funeral service will be held the following day on Friday, July 26 at Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel A at 10:30am with burial that will be led by The Ride to Eternity Group to Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Bill will be remembered as a good person with a soft-spoken demeanor that endeared him to everyone he met. His kind and loving nature left an incredible mark on all who knew him. May his memory live on through the stories shared by those whose lives he touched profoundly.
