Ruth B. Schweitzer,
92 of Florence, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, surrounded by her loving family and her beloved cat Tweedie. She was an active member of the Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday School, and serving as a mentor to other young women in the church as well as singing in the choir and a co-founding member (with her lifelong friend Mary Maegly) of Piecemakers Sewing Club. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and all handcrafts. She was devoted to her family and will be sorely missed by those who survive her: children Beth Cogswell, Amy (Dennis) Parker and Trudy (Rob) Woltering; grandchildren Kelly (David) Kuntz, Heather (Shawn) Darby, Katie (Dan) Bowen, Travis (Katie) Parker and Spencer Woltering; great grandchildren Emily, Foster, Lee, Parker, Keegan, Raegan, Kaylie and Brooklyn; brother Harry (Reita) Barnaclo; her Colonial Heights family; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Harold Schweitzer. A Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church.
