Ryan Johnson

On Saturday, January 26 2019, Ryan Christopher Johnson passed away suddenly at the age of 40.

He was a man of God. He was the son of Marsha Spear and Greg Johnson (Sylvia Johnson); the adoring husband of 10 years to Danielle Johnson; the incredible father to Ryley McCoy (14), Madison Johnson (12), Jack Johnson (11), Annabelle Johnson (4) & Judah Johnson (2); the loyal brother to Tyler Stadtmiller, Zach Johnson, Mike Johnson and countless ‘brothers’ who were friends; the God-father to Miles Jacob Jett, Uncle to several nieces and nephews and a loving nephew & cousin to many.

Ryan spent his career in the car business as an exceptional manager. He loved his children fiercely and often spent time planning their next adventure together; his favorite being their vacation to New Orleans. He spent his mornings with God, fall Saturdays watching the best team in college football (Buckeyes), and many Sundays trying to understand why the Bengals weren’t playing like the Super Bowl Champs he knew they were at the beginning of the season. As Bengal hopes came to a close (often mid season) he would turn his attention to his beloved Redlegs with an enthusiasm that only he could conjure- the crack of a bat, Marty and Cowboy were fixtures of our summer nights together.

He will be loved and missed- always. But has left pieces of himself in those he loved, oh so very much!

When responding to the question ‘what are the things you hope your children have learned from you’ he replied, “that there is nothing more important than family!!!!!! Some family is blood, some isn’t. But those that are in your heart, protect and love like there is no tomorrow!”

A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, KY from 2-5pm, a Memorial Service will immediately follow.
