Samuel Alexander Denham, age 13, of Taylor Mill, died Friday, October 14, 2011, at his residence. He was a student at Woodland Middle School and enjoyed reading, collecting coins, and was fascinated by luxury cars. Sam strove for excellence in everything (academics, hobbies, relationships) he did and will be greatly missed by his parents, Darryl and Carol Denham; brother, Daniel Denham of Taylor Mill; grandparents, Anna Wambaugh of Ft. Wright and Mary Ledington of Batavia, OH; and his dogs (greyhounds), Jake and Kimmy. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill. Memorials may be made to the Samuel A. Denham Memorial Cause Fund, c/o St. Elizabeth Credit Union. Memorial donations may be expressed to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
