Sharon Ann Owen

Sharon Ann Owen, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 in Batavia, OH. Sharon was born on June 21, 1943 in Covington, KY to Mason and Alice Carnohan.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mason and Alice Carnohan, sister Maureen McNeese, brother David Carnohan, sister Lynda Richter, brother-in-law Tony Brosky and nephew Nick Brosky.

Sharon is survived by her adoring children, daughters Kim Cooper and her husband Tony Cooper; Kellie Palmisano; Colleen Phillips and her husband Brett Phillips; loving sons Chris Owen and Brennan Owen;  grandchildren Sara, Dale, Lauren, Hillary, Mallory, Mikayla, Ethan, Alex, and Mason; son-in-law Bryan Palmisano; daughter-in-law Micheleigh; great-grandchildren Allie, Kyle, Sophie and Vinny, beloved sister Pat Brosky, sister-in-laws Donna Carnohan and Mary Due, cousin Michelle Eby, Aunt Joan and Uncle Ken, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sharon was an excellent homemaker who also worked as a realtor and teacher. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School class of 1961. After living in Louisiana for over 20 years where she met lifelong friends and partially raised her family, she returned to Kentucky. She was a dedicated member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Independence, KY for over 30 years.

Sharon’s hobbies included singing, playing piano, cooking, baking, gardening, fussing over her beloved dog Duchess and spending time with family. She had a contagious laugh and smile that could light up any room and never knew a stranger. Her faith in God was strong as well as her love for her family.

She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her for the wonderful person she was and may she rest in peace with the Lord she served so faithfully throughout her life.
