Stephen Marksberry

Stephen Carl Marksberry, 47, of Covington, passed away on March 23, 2017 at St Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.
Stephen was born on May 4, 1969 to Deborah Marksberry (now Johnson) and Leon Lucy, Jr. From an early age, he was raised by his grandmother, Margie L. Marksberry, and fostered by his step-father Howard Johnson. He is survived by Nancy Stacy, his life partner for the past 17 years and love of his life, by his mother & step-father, Debbie and Howard Johnson, two sons Zachary Connor Marksberry and Joseph Gabriel Marksberry, sisters Jamia Dozier and Tammy Johnson, brother Jerime Johnson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Margie and daughter Stephanie Marksberry.
Steve faced unusual challenges in life including Tourette's syndrome as a youth. Along the way, he was helped by many individuals and groups, including Big Brothers. He enjoyed writing poetry and helping others with his auto mechanic skills.
A private memorial service is expected to be held later at Margie's graveside in the IOOF Cemetery near Burlington, KY.
