With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Edward Troxel on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Steven was a beloved member of his community, known for his dedication to his family and his vibrant personality.
Born on February 10, 1982, in Covington, KY with a passion for creativity, Steven found joy in art and tattooing, using his talents to bring beauty and meaning to those around him. His love for MMA style boxing and outdoor activities reflected his energetic spirit and zest for life. No matter what he was into, Steven’s enthusiasm was infectious.
Steven's greatest joy, however, was his family. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend, whose love and support were unwavering. His family was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with love and laughter.
Steven's faith in Christianity guided him with strength and compassion. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love that will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Preceding Steven in death were his maternal grandparents, Duck and Eva Cuneo; paternal grandparents, Donald and Margaret Troxel; his cousin, Bryan Troxel and his dear friend, Thomas Lutz.
Those left surviving to carry on Steven’s memory include his doating fiancé, Tonya Lutz -Troxel; loving parents, Diane (Doug) Taylor and Donald (Debbie) Troxel; siblings, Mike (Brooklyn) Iles, Eric (Michele) Troxel, Jonathan (Allison) Beard and Kasey Troxel; aunts and uncles, Sherry Troxel, Rhonda (Ron) Johnson, Deborah Hensley, Cozetta Elliott and Mark Cuneo; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; as well as many other close relatives and friends who are now emptier upon his passing.
A visitation celebrating Steven’s life will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home ~ Chapel A, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Steven will then be laid to rest peacefully at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Steven Edward Troxel will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light he so generously shared with the world.
