Teresa Lee Beck Lauterbach (Bush) was born on May 20, 1956 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Emogene and Edward Bush. She is survived by her siblings, Teena Weckesser, Traci Holt and Troy Holt (Kim).
Teresa grew up in Taylor Mill where she attended Simon Kenton High School. She went on to work for Proctor and Gamble. In 1991 she moved to Sharon, Mass then to Bedford New Hampshire where she wed Peter Lauterbach and became the proprietor of the Blooming Acorn, a sought after and adored floral boutique.
Peter and Teresa’s travels took them on a quest to visit as many ski areas as they could across the US and abroad. Having visited ski towns in Colorado, after 9 years in New Hampshire, they decided to sell the Blooming Acorn and move to Colorado where they mastered the art of skiing in the Rockies and enjoyed retirement together.
Teresa decided to return to Kentucky in 2015 after her husband passed away in 2013. She cared for her mother, and became a bona fine “junke” shop owner extraordinaire with her longtime friend Theresa, opening a booth called Bee In The Garden which thrived for years providing eclectic finds to those who were lucky enough to experience their creation.
Teresa’s talents were boundless, an accomplished painter, mixed media artist, abundant gardener and ferocious reader, she saw the world thru the eyes of a creative, leaving behind a piece of herself for all of us to enjoy.
