Vesta Alice Ramey Hammond Patrick, 87, of Guntersville, Ala. and formerly of Covington died Tuesday at Marshall Medical Center in Guntersville.
She was a nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital North Labor and Delivery Unit, a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and a member of Warrington Baptist Church in Guntersville.
Her first husband, John Hammond; sons, Mike Hammond, Ray Hammond, Jim Hammond and Craig Hammond; and daughters, Becky Hammond, Beth Hammond and Carole Moore, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Patrick; daughters, Judy Summers of Cincinnati, Rita Lucas of Guntersville, Ala., Deb Stamper of Ryland Heights, Sue Lilly of Lockport, Ill. and Tina Emerson of Hudsonville, Mich.; sons, Mark Hammond of Ryland Heights and Rick Hammond of Guntersville, Ala.; sisters, Bill Mullins of Clintwood, Va.; Venie Mullins of Bristol, Va.; Adalee Mullins of Baltimore, Md.; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Homes in Independence. Visitation will begin there at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill .
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
