Viola Donovan-West

Viola Janette Donovan West, 89, passed away on January 18, 2018 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She was born on January 8, 1929 to the late Oscar and Lillian Robinson. On October 18, 1947 she married Herbert Donovan who preceded her in death. In August, 1999 she married Francis West who survives. Viola was the last charter member of the Pleasantview Baptist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Viola is survived by her children Carolyn (Joe) Points-Wilcher, Herbert (Debbie) Donovan, Tim (Robin) Donovan, Barbara Donovan, Charlie Donovan, Leslie Donovan and Pat Donovan; stepdaughter Tracy (John) Bunch; brothers Everett, William, Jimmy and Blaine "Buddy" Robinson; sisters Joann Cheeseman, Mary "Betty" Myers and Wilma LaBare; several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and first husband, Viola was preceded in death by her children David Donovan, Kevin Donovan and Janette Donovan; stepdaughter Annette Wider; granddaughter Kayleigh Donovan; great grandson Hunter Donovan; sisters Rosina "Doll" Sasher, Grace "Janie" Abner; and brother Vincent "Johnny" Robinson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
