Wilgus "Will" Bowling, 85, of Taylor Mill, died in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Will served the US Navy in World War II aboard the Fulton and Orion. He stayed in the Navy Reserve following WWII and proceeded to work at Albers Supermarket, Pepsi Cola and Boone County Schools Board of Education. He is survived by his wife of sixty- six years, Hazel (Burton) Bowling as well as one sister, Mable (Bowling) Salyers of Jackson, KY. He is also survived by five children: Janice McManus of Mt. Carmel, OH, Sandy Berling of Union, KY, Joyce O'Toole of Edgewood, KY, Sherry Guidugli of Ft. Thomas, KY and Jeff Bowling of Taylor Mill, KY. He had eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Will Bowling was blessed and continues to leave an impact on those lives he touched. Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 11am until time of service 1pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial immediately following with military honors at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials suggested to Vascilitis Foundation, PO Box 28660, Kansas City, MO 64188-8860. Floral Hills Funeral Home serving the family.
