William E. Baker, 76, of Walton, formerly of Covington, died Sunday, Jan. 11, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Corryville.
He was a truck driver for various trucking companies, Korean War Army veteran, member of Teamsters Local 100, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7453 and a hawker for more than 30 years for the Enquirer in Covington.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Jean Powers Baker; sons, Gary Baker of Walton, Larry Baker of Covington and Jerry Baker of Fort Thomas; daughter, Katherine Baxley of Walton; sisters, Thelma Hopkins of Burlington, Hazel Renchen of Hillsboro, Ohio, Bonnie Sue Miller of Cincinnati, Mary Hiatt and Iva Shelton of Covington; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 and service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
