Zane Anthony Setser

Zane Anthony “Zaney Zane” Setser, age 6, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of joy and love. Born in Edgewood, KY, on April 7, 2018, Zane was a vibrant autistic child who touched the hearts of all who knew him. 

 Zane’s striking blue-green eyes reflected his boundless spirit and zest for life. He found immense joy in watching his favorite movies—Trolls, Angry Birds, and Toy Story—often with his beloved blankets by his side. His favorite color was the rainbow, a fitting representation of the colorful and bright impact he had on the world.

 Zane’s love for music and singing brought happiness to those around him. He relished playing in the dirt, a simple pleasure that highlighted his connection to the world’s natural wonders. Apples were his favorite snack, and he always found comfort and delight in their crisp sweetness.

 Family was the center of Zane’s universe, and he expressed his love in unique and touching ways. He learned sign language to communicate, and his affectionate headbutts were his special way of saying, “I love you.”

 Those left surviving to carry on the memory of Zane include his loving and compassionate parents, Michael “Mike” Setser and Angela Romero; siblings, Michael “Lil’ Mike” Setser, Leo Setser, Hannah Setser, Mikah Setser, Donovan May and Christopher Ellis; grandparents, Stephanie and Anthony Savage and Nannette and Jerry Setser; aunts and uncles, Michael Romero, Frankie Romero, Katt Meija, Uncle Osiris Savage, Breanne Naparan and J.R. Lakeside; as well as countless cousins, other close relatives and friends who are now emptier upon his passing.

A Gathering of Friends celebrating Zane’s life will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home ~ Chapel A, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Zane’s life, though brief, was filled with immense love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He leaves behind a family that adored him and a world made better by his presence.

Rest in peace, dear Zaney Zane. Your spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
