Alvera Wight

Alvera Rae Wight, age 80, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Rae served 2 years in the U.S. Marine Corp.  She was retired from CSX Railroad after 36 years of service. She loved to travel and spend time with friends and family.  She is preceded in death by her parents Alvera and Earl Wight and her nephew Gage Meguiar.  She is survived by her sister Sherry Meguiar, and her brothers Danny Wight (Donna) and Mark Wight (Kim). Her nephews and nieces Danny, Denise, Dawn, Jessica, Shannon, Bailey and Max, her great nieces and nephews and many loving cousins, friends and extended family Debbie and Randall Marksberry. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11am until time of service 1pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington.  Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
