Elbert Valentine, age 89, of Crestwood KY, formerly of Bellevue KY, passed away at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home in Louisville KY on Friday, July 18, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie (Baker) Valentine. Elbert worked as a bottler at Red Top Brewery in Cincinnati, Ohio and retired at Wiedemann Brewery in Newport, KY after 30 plus years of service. He was an Army Veteran during W.W.II, A member of Henry Barnes Masonic Lodge #607, Scottish Rite, Cincinnati Kosair Syrian Temple Shriner-Division of KY Colonels and Order of Eastern Star Dora Chapter #2 in Dayton, KY where he was Worthy Grand Patron for multiple terms. Mr. Valentine's wife, Christine Valentine, passed on Monday, July 21, 2014, the couple's 64th wedding anniversary. He is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Herzog (Larry) of Louisville, KY, Sisters; Geri Fitzpatrick (Jake) of Reno, NV, Marilyn Tenhunfeld of Mason, OH, and Frankie Palmisano of Cincinnati, OH, Grandchildren; Chris Miles, Lisa Waring (James), and Susan Clinkscales (Mike), Great Grandchildren; Drew, Jacob, Claire, Jonathan, Matthew, Michael, and Madelynne. The Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, KY from 10 AM until Services at 12:30 PM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
