John Anthony Sandlin was born on December 20, 1963 to Dr. Everett and Sylvia Sandlin. He passed away on June 2, 2012. His Father preceded him in death. He is survived by his Mother, Sylvia Sandlin of Southgate, Ky, two Sisters; Marilyn Bostwick (Robert) of Wilder and Mary Reed of Alexandria, one Brother; David Sandlin of Cold Spring, 3 Nieces; Keli Alexander, Danielle Alexander and Jennifer Sandlin, 2 Nephews; Michael Sandlin (Cassie) and Joshua Cordell, one Great Niece; Chelsea Spicer and one Great Nephew; Cody Spicer.
John was employed at St.Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood for twenty-five years. He loved history and genealogy. He worked diligently to trace all branches of his family tree. He also loved his family and friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand when anyone needed it. He also loved his two dogs. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Alexandria.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd., Covington, KY 41015. He will be buried next to his Father at Floral Hills. Services will be conducted by Reverend Ken Willoughby.
Memorials suggested in lieu of flowers to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 11212 Lees Rd., Alexandria, KY 41001 and Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2409 Members Way, Lexington, KY 40504.
