Joseph Taney

Joseph Patrick Taney, 75 of Latonia, KY passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Latonia, KY. He retired from Zumbiel Box Company in Norwood, Ohio. After retirement, Pat worked for Wesley Community Services- Meals on Wheels. He was a Graduate of Holy Cross High School and Thomas More College and attended St. Pius Seminary. His greatest love, besides his wife & family, was Holy Cross HS, especially their athletic programs. He enjoyed supporting the endeavors of his children & grandchildren, including vacations to Disney World. He was a member of the Holy Cross School Board, Athletic Boosters and a tutor for the Academic Enhancement Program. He was also an Associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame, a member of the Diocese of Covington School Board, Marriage Encounter, Exodus Jail Ministry, Fortunate Families-LGBT support group, Taylor Mill Swim Club Board and an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish & involved in the Men's Book Club & Bible Study. He was preceded in death by his Parents Tom & Ann (Porter) Taney, Sister: Peggy Millay. Pat is survived by his Loving Wife of 47 years, Mary Gayle Dohrmann Taney; Daughters: Gay Trame (Danny), Mindy Drohan (Eddie) and Maggie Ibrahim-Taney (Nadia); Sister: Kathleen Lord; Brothers: Mike Taney (Mary) and Denny Taney; Grandchildren: Blair, Brandon, Brittany, Olivia and Eddie; Numerous nieces and nephews, an abundance of friends and his Holy Cross family. The Visitation will be on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington, KY 41015 from 10 AM until Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON and reception to follow in the cafeteria.
