She was born to the Late Edward and Rosella Helmer from Piner, Kentucky and is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Franxman of Morningview, Kentucky. She is survived by her loving husband Donald Pearce, daughters Lori Shafer, Decka Ishmael (Josh), 5 grandchildren and siblings Mark Helmer (Sue), Rosann Whisler (Jon), Mike Helmer (Linda), Pat Helmer (Marilyn) Melinda Franxman (Charlie) and Mary Jo Huber (John) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
